Eucharistic Adoration

A thousand years of enjoying human glory is not worth even an hour spent sweetly communing with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
— St. Padre Pio

Adoration

What:

Eucharistic Adoration is an extension of the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament which occurs in every Mass: "Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb." Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament flows from the sacrifice of the Mass and serves to deepen our hunger for Communion with Christ and the rest of the Church.

When:

The First Friday of the month from 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Every 1st Friday of the month (excluding Lent), we gather in the church to worship our Lord and spend time reflecting on our lives and how we can better serve our God who has given us so much.  Whether you are in need of God’s guidance, or want to give him thanks for his blessings in your life, spending time in silent prayer with others will help you grow your faith.

We start at 6:00 p.m. with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and a brief scripture reading.  A communal Rosary is then said followed by time in silence.  Approx..20 minutes before ending, the community prays evening prayer “Vespers” led by a Deacon.  Afterwards, the Blessed Sacrament is placed back in the tabernacle and final prayers are said.  The evening ends at 8:00 p.m.
