The Bread Basket Soup Kitchen
Who We Are
St. Stephen Bread Basket workers are part of an ecumenical group in Sanford who have joined together to help feed the hungry in our area. The Bread Basket is located at 140 East Chisolm Street.
What We Do
St. Stephen Church is responsible for providing cooks, servers, and cleanup crew for the midday meal on three days every month. Our days are the first Mondays, second Thursdays, and third Wednesdays each month. We normally work from 9:00 am to 1 :00 pm.
Requirements for Service
All volunteers are welcome. No training is needed for servers, and we will gladly train anyone interested in cooking. Volunteers usually work only one of the three days per month.
